What are the possible disadvantages and risks of taking part?
We'll be asking questions about your mental health and well-being that might be distressing. Going through the survey might also bring up past negative experiences related to your health or living situation. You might come across questions that don't directly relate to your situation. We'll give you a quick overview of each survey's content before you decide to participate. If you start a survey and feel distressed, you can hit the 'close' button on your internet browser to stop at any time. Check out useful resources for additional details on health and home services in the UK, specifically England.
If you feel you need more help, don't hesitate to contact your GP or local mental health services.
What data will be collected?
We'll ask questions about you, your health and well-being, and both indoor and outdoor housing features of your home and your feelings in your home to understand how living in converted homes affects residents. Most survey questions are optional, so you can choose what you're comfortable answering.
What will happen to your data?
Rest assured; your responses are kept confidential. Personal details won't be shared. We'll combine all collected answers to understand patterns in housing conditions for specific groups, such as checking whether low-income groups experience worse quality housing. We will also use this data to check whether different health and wellbeing states among residents are specifically related to housing conditions.
Your data is crucial for academic research by UCL. Only de-personalised results will be shared to enhance the health and well-being of those in converted homes. We'll look at how different health states relate to housing conditions.
