What to expect?

  • After completing the survey, 100 volunteers will be invited to participate in interviews.

  • Volunteers will receive an information sheet detailing the interview process.

  • If volunteers agree to take part, interviews will be scheduled.

  • Before interview, you'll be asked to provide written consent to ensure you understand and agree to participate.

  • Two trained researchers will visit your home to have a chat and understand your living environment better.

  • Some questions about your home in relation to your health and wellbeing will be asked, if you wish to answer them.

  • The interview will be followed with optional physical survey and photography.

    Physical survey:

  • During the physical survey of your home, we will assess various aspects such as the amount of natural light, background noise levels, and any signs of mould or dampness to evaluate your home's indoor environmental quality. This includes factors like air quality, access to daylight, acoustic conditions, occupant control over lighting, and thermal comfort.

    Photography:

  • With your permission, we would also take photographs of any aspects of the property that you believe affect your health and wellbeing. These photos would not include people or personal items.

    Benefits of participation:

  • As a token of appreciation, you'll receive a £20 voucher for completing the interview.

     Schedule Your Interview:

  • You can select the date and time of your interview at your convenience. Our team will reach out to coordinate a suitable appointment.
